One week dedicated to inspiring men to lead healthier lives
Canadians believe they’re a pretty healthy nation. But weirdly, Canadian guys aren’t that healthy. And it’s not because of genetics; it’s a result of lifestyle.
The statistics around men’s health in Canada are alarming; men are 40% more likely to die from cancer, 70% more likely to die from heart disease and live an average of nine years of their lives in extremely poor health. 70% of men’s health problems can be prevented by adopting healthy lifestyles.
Download the Men’s Health Week badge and post it to your social media channels demonstrating your support for men’s health. It’s the easiest way to bang the drum for men’s health and contribute to the social movement.
Canadian Men’s Health Week occurs each year in the week leading up to and including Father’s Day. Its purpose is to be the annual “bang the drum celebration” to create awareness of the importance of men’s health. Any organization, group or individual is invited to join in by promoting men’s health to employees, customers, suppliers or friends and family and share it on this web page.
Your participation in Men’s Health Week is a contribution to the men’s health social movement.
The first Canadian Men’s Health Week was launched by the Canadian Men’s Health Foundation (CMHF) in 2014, joining a growing list of countries around the globe doing the same.
The CMHF is an independent national non-profit organization that is proud to power the website for Canadian Men’s Health Week.
The mission of CMHF is to inspire Canadian men to live healthier lives.
Let’s give a round of applause to all these organizations participating in the 3rd annual Canadian Men’s Health Week
